NELLCO Symposium 2012: Content, Collaboration, Curation, Innovation

NELLCO Symposium 2012: Content, Collaboration, Curation, Innovation

What's it all about?
Please plan to join ALM Legal Intelligence, Gale/Cengage, Leadership Directories, Oxford University Press, Eastview, YBP and many others in the legal information industry to share insight and expertise with the law librarian community!

Albany in March? Really? Don't worry. The topics will be so hot you won't even notice the cold! We are creating an environment for out-of-the-box thinking, sharing and collaborating between Industry Partners and the Law Librarian Community. Many other shows and conferences that cater to librarians are chaotic, busy, and impersonal. Feedback from our members and industry partners has allowed us to carefully tailor this event to respond to the needs of law librarians and industry partners to develop and enhance relationships.

The first day of the Symposium is devoted to Industry Partners connecting with law librarians. Industry representatives will have dedicated time to share information with law librarians in classroom settings. Participants will enjoy an informal setting in which to learn, share and network.

Specific Opportunities Include:
  • Focus Groups
  • Thought Leadership Sessions
  • Product Support Sessions
  • Sponsorship Opportunities

A special event that evening at the New York State Museum and Archives will allow for conversations to continue in a social setting.

Day two will consist of content sessions on topics aligned with the conference themes. This day provides continuing opportunities to engage and network with attendees.

Who will attend?
NELLCO’s international audience consists of law librarians from the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Australia. Members include Yale, Harvard, NYU, Duke, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cornell, Cambridge, Oxford and more than 100 other academic and state, court, and county law libraries. These individuals represent key decision-makers and influencers from some of the most respected institutions worldwide. Expected attendance is 200+ law librarians with industry partners, speakers, and others bringing the total to 300+.

Why participate?
The NELLCO Symposium promises lively interaction between law librarians and content providers in an informal and collegial environment. Unlike the traditional exhibit hall model, the Symposium offers chance for sustained and robust interaction with decision-makers and influencers from law libraries internationally. Please join us in March! If you're not here, you'll be left out in the cold!
