National Academy of Infusion Therapy

Whether you consider yourself a novice or expert in the practice of infusion therapy, the 2016 National Academy of Infusion Therapy and One-Day Program has something for everyone. Evidence-based sessions have been designed to provide knowledge that will enhance your infusion therapy practice. As a leader in providing educational sessions that are relevant and promote positive infusion-related patient outcomes, the National Academy and One-Day Program in Cincinnati is the place to be to network, learn, and validate your commitment to continued nursing education and excellence.

One-Day Program
Friday’s One-Day Program, “The Spectrum of Sepsis,” provides an opportunity to learn about the battle against this life-threatening condition. From diagnosis to survivorship, experts in the field discuss the revised clinical criteria and treatment recommendations, and case studies will detail patients’ personal experiences.

Who Should Attend
Infusion therapy specialists and health care professionals who are involved with placement and management of vascular access devices; who develop, implement, and evaluate infusion therapy practices and policy; and those involved in research and education.

Goals of 2016 National Academy
To promote an environment of collaboration among peers, whether novice or expert. To foster the role of infusion therapy professionals in the promotion of best practices through integration of evidence-based practice.

Overall Program Outcomes
After attending sessions at the One-Day Program, “The Spectrum of Sepsis,” attendees will integrate evidence-based practice in the prevention, identification, and management of sepsis and post-sepsis syndrome.

Attendees participating in sessions at the National Academy will integrate evidence-based practice in the promotion of positive patient outcomes related to infusion therapy and will incorporate critical-thinking skills to improve infusion nursing practice.
