For the last four years, Richard was responsible for the delivery of a large programme and a large team of people working with HMC and PHCC, to Design, Build and Implement the Clinical Information System at HMC and PHCC. This CIS system provides a single electronic record for all patients being treated at HMC and PHCC. For the last year, Richard has been Managing Director for Dell Services’ Healthcare & Life Sciences business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this role, in addition to responsibility for all sales and delivery programmes, Richard is responsible for growing and developing the Dell Services’ team in the region. Prior to joining Dell, Richard worked for Cerner. In his role as Director of European Services he was responsible for developing Cerner's European Consulting practice and was a key part of the team that opened new territories for Cerner in France and Spain. He worked on Cerner implementations in UK, Saudi Arabia and across Europe. Richard started his career as a Medical Technologist working in diagnostic laboratories in the UK National Health Service. During his time as Chief Biomedical Scientist at Guys & St Thomas’s NHS Trust, Richard pioneered the introduction of automated rule based systems aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and turnaround times of diagnostic testing. Richard holds a Master of Science degree in Intelligent Systems, from Brunel University. |
