Pre-Conference Excursions
We are pleased to offer opportunities to explore Atlanta in groups with other conference attendees while starting your networking early! Groups will be guided by a local member, and will meet in the lobby at the designated times.

Advance registration is required. Cost is on your own. Additional information about transportation, capacity and registration for excursions will be provided soon.

  • MLK Historic Site: Depart at 1 pm; Cost: Free
    Meet in front of FedEx in hotel lobby, 5th level
    Come see the birth place of this celebrated peacemaker, as well as the church where he grew up.
  • Georgia Aquarium: Depart at 1 pm; Cost: $35.95 (check web site for current promotions)
    Meet in front of Cafe entrance in hotel lobby, 5th level
    See the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere with 10 million gallons of fresh and marine water and tens of thousands of animals. 
  • National Center for Civil and Human Rights: Depart at 2 pm; Cost: $15
    Meet in front of FedEx in hotel lobby, 5th level
    The Center for Civil and Human Rights in Downtown Atlanta pays homage to the American civil rights movement, as well as brings current global human rights issues to the forefront.
  • CNN: Depart at 3 pm; Cost: $16 (previous listed as $15)

    Get an exclusive look inside the studios of CNN Network! Tours last approximately 50 minutes and depart every 10 minutes.
  • College Football Hall of Fame: Depart at 3 pm; Cost: $19.95 (previously listed as $16.99)
    Meet in front of Cafe entrance in hotel lobby, 5th level
    More than old jerseys and pigskins, the College Football Hall of Fame is an interactive experience that is loved by all College Football Fans.

Atlanta CityPASS: You can purchase a CityPASS that gets you admission to multiple attractions at a discounted rate.

Dine Around Atlanta
Wednesday, June 22nd, 6:30 pm
The Westin Peachtree Plaza is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Take some time to network with colleagues while visiting one of the area’s fantastic restaurants. You will find everything from soul food to fine dining and every type of cuisine in between so you definitely won’t go hungry in Atlanta. Additional information and sign-ups will be available at conference registration.

  • Sweet GA Juke Joint: Both groups meet in front of FedEx in hotel lobby, fifth floor 
  • Twin Smokers: Meet in front of Café entrance in hotel lobby, fifth floor
  • Pittypat’s Porch: Meet at Starbucks in hotel lobby, fifth floor
  • JCT: Both groups meet at Chastain Terrace outside of Chastain 1 and 2, sixth floor

Atlanta is a cultural and economic center, the most populous city in the state of Georgia, and home of the country's third largest concentration of Fortune 500 companies. It is only fitting to host our Thursday evening gala in an exhibition hall that pays tribute to one of the most valuable American brands, Coca-Cola. Join us in paying homage to this trademark with our ‘Throwback Thursday’ theme and dress in the attire of your favorite decade. Come ready to indulge in a delicious buffet dinner, taste more than 100 domestic and international beverages, and dance the night away!

The Gala will be hosted at the The World of Coca-Cola and sponsored by VMock. Located just a few blocks from the Westin Peachtree, the World of Coke is located at Pemberton Place in downtown Atlanta. The World of Coca-Cola is a museum showcasing the history of The Coca-Cola Company that contains a host of entertainment areas and attractions.

Transportation will be provided via shuttle beginning at 6:30pm.

Your conference registration fee covers the cost of this event. Pre-registration is required and provided on your conference registration online form.


Explore Atlanta On Your Own
Will you be arriving in Atlanta early or staying the weekend? Make sure you venture out to explore all that Atlanta has to offer! The hotel is a short walk to Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Aquarium, the Center for Civil & Human Rights, CNN Studios, the Martin Luther King Center and the College Football Hall of Fame. Other Atlanta attractions include the High Museum of Art, Fox Theater, Jimmy Carter Museum and Library, Turner Field, and the Botanical Gardens. Several shopping centers are accessible by train, bus, or taxi, including Atlantic Station, Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square Mall. Be sure to check the conference app once you are on site for additional entertainment options.

Transportation
The Westin Peachtree Plaza is located approximately 10 miles from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). There are several options for transportation between the airport and the hotel:
  • Taxi: $30 flat rate for one passenger
  • SuperShuttle Atlanta: $16.50 per person
  • Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) - a subway that travels directly from baggage claim at the airport to the Peachtree Center Station, which is one block from the hotel. Cost is $2.50.

The hotel offers valet parking only. There are several self-parking lots nearby.
