Saturday, June 1:

  • A full day excursion, either to Ljubljana or to the Postojna Cave and the world-famous Castle in Predjama.

    Ljubljana Tour:
Departure from the hotel in Rogaska Slatina after breakfast and bus to Ljubljana.

Ljubljana is considered an undiscovered jewel of Europe and is often compared to Prague because of its beautiful architecture. The most striking characteristic of the city is undoubtedly the Castle. The tower of the castle offers the most beautiful views of the city.

Perched on the Dragon's Bridge (Zmajski most), the Dragon is a symbol of Ljubljana.

Ljubljana is considered a "Green City" with a whole series of beautiful parks and the Botanical Garden, which has been in existence since 1810.

Tivoli Park, Ljubljana

Ljubljana central Tivoli Park is a popular meeting place and at the same time an outdoor exhibition venue, where interesting large-format photos are regularly erected.

A guided tour will bring you to the most famous spots of the city. After lunch, you will have time to explore Ljubljana. The bus will bring you back to the hotel in the evening. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Tour to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle
Departure from the hotel in Rogaska Slatina after breakfast, then a bus ride to Postojna Cave.
The famous cave of Postojna is the most visited show cave in Europe. It is known as a place where Olms are born-again. For 140 years, the cave railway has been running into the interior of the grotto.

The world's first railway in an underground cave was opened in Postojna Cave in 1872.

The magnificent 5 meter tall bright-white talagmite called Brilliant is a symbol of Postojna Cave and the Slovenian Karst. The water slowly dripping down the stalagmite deposits a thin layer of flowstone, giving the Brilliant its shiny white color.

After visiting the cave, we will have a medieval lunch in the ballroom of the hotel near the cave.

Not far from the grotto is Predjama - the largest cave castle in the world.

A constant web of the natural and artificial, the work of human hands and the creativity of nature forms a pearl of medieval ingenuity. The largest cave castle in the world, recorded in the Guiness Book of World Records, tells the story of the time when the comfort of safety had to give way and when the song of the troubadour was often drowned out by the Weapons Crune. Predjama Castle is so special and unique that it ranks among the ten most fascinating castles in the world.

The ancient castle doesn't have crenellated towers, sumptuous interior decorations or refined details, but it's a special place in so many ways. Predjama Castle is definitely not accidentally among the most visited places in Slovenia. The first thing that attracts attention is the castle's location. At some point, one could surely believe the castle is almost one with the mountain in which it lies. The contrast between the blackened cliffs and the white walls of the castle offer the sensation that is almost unreal.

For the tour through the castle, we will be greeted by a Knight.

After the guided tour, the bus will leave to the hotel.

Dinner will be served in the hotel.
