About
The host country evening reception will be held at ‘Inside’ the Koestler Trust exhibition of artwork by offenders, secure patients and detainees. The event will showcase the work of two innovative charities that work with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, supporting people to turn their lives around through engaging in education, creative skills, mentoring and employment support.
The exhibition displays visual art, writing, music, craft and design from responses to the theme ‘Inside’ set by internationally renowned artist Antony Gormley. Ex-Prisoner Hosts, specially recruited by the Koestler Trust, will provide guests with more information about the exhibition and work of the charity. A pop-up shop will be open during the event for guests to purchase original artwork, and merchandise, including an anthology of poetry by people in the criminal justice system. Proceeds from artwork sales are divided between the artist, a charity supporting victims of crime and the Koestler Trust.
Light refreshments will be provided by The Clink with canapés prepared by serving prisoners at HMP Downview then served by Clink Graduates (ex-prisoners) and Centrepoint clients working towards qualifications in hospitality.

Directions
Detailed directions will be available at the conference reception desk. Guests are advised to depart the hotel between 18:15 – 18:30 and travel from Hammersmith to Embankment station via the underground (10 stops on the District Line), then walk over the Hungerford Bridge to Southbank Centre. Total travel time approximately 30 minutes.
