Gumbo Limbo Nature Center
Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is a distinctive part of the City of Boca Raton’s parks system.  The Center is surrounded by a rare remnant of coastal hammock, located on a barrier island.  A boardwalk provides access to this unique tropical forest where, from the 40-foot observation tower, you can view Gumbo Limbo trees, migrating birds, Indian middens, the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.  Outdoor seawater tanks house sea turtles, sharks and other marine life, while the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility provides treatment and care for sick and injured sea turtles.  An informal garden attracts butterflies throughout the year.  Indoor displays feature wildlife indigenous to South Florida and a panorama of stained glass windows depicting the coastal island as it may have appeared in the 1500’s.

Bob Lappin & The Palm Beach Pops
The house lights dim and the spotlight comes on as he takes his place on stage. The orchestra begins to play and it becomes apparent that Maestro Bob Lappin has orchestrated yet another exceptional evening of entertainment. The musicians and singers are energized by the repertoire and the audience is immersed in the magic of the music. For a moment in time, we are captivated by the extraordinary musicianship and passion presented on stage. As Florida’s premier orchestra, Bob Lappin & The Palm Beach Pops are devoted to preserving and performing the music of the Great American Songbook.
