Q:  What airfare is included in the Biennial?

A:  Included in your Biennial registration is transportation from Armenia to Cali.  You should arrive in Armenia on 26 May (unless you will participate in the Board Meeting).  Plan to depart 2 June from Cali unless you are participating in a Post Tour.  Internal flights in Colombia are inexpensive.  There are regular flights between all major cities: some are direct, others will take you through Bogota.  International travelers may either take advantage of open jaw tickets – arriving Bogota, departing Cali.  Or, you may travel in-and out of Cali (from Miami, Panama, Lima, etc.).  You would then need to arrange your own internal flight from Cali to Armenia.

Q:  What airfare is included in the Sabinaria Pre or Post tour?

A:  None.  Participants are encouraged to book early.  There are numerous internal flights, available for booking online at www.avianca.com, www.satena.com, www.vivacolombia.co/en-co, www.latam.com,  or https://www.wingo.com/en.

Q:  What is the custom regarding tipping in Colombia?  Do I need to tip bus drivers and/or tour staff?

A:  All tips related to specific conference activities are included in your fee.  You may tip hotel wait staff and house cleaning as you feel is appropriate.  The custom for tipping in Colombia is 5.000 Colombian pesos.

Q:  As a Director, when are the Board Meetings and when should I arrive in Armenia?

A:  The full-day Board Meeting is scheduled for 26 May in Armenia, commencing at 09:30.  This is the arrival day for participants.  We suggest Directors arrive to Armenia on the 25th.  Please check the “additional night” for Las Camelias when registering.  Meals will be on your own.  ESA will provide transportation from the Airport to Las Camelias if they receive your flight information.  A half-day space has been blocked in the schedule for a follow-up Board Meeting on 1 June in Cali.
