2015 INS Annual Convention and Industrial Exhibition

Oral abstracts delivered at INS 2015 are clinically focused presentations discussing innovations, research, or practices that affect infusion therapy. Presenters highlight case studies, quality improvement projects, or evidence-based practice issues that are important to the quality of patient outcomes. These 15-20 minute presentations provide a unique opportunity to share your experiences with other infusion professionals.

Submissions are open to all members of the infusion community: novice or experienced, from every practice setting, and including any practice specialty. Oral abstracts are selected for presentation via a blind review by members of the INS National Council on Education (NCOE) and are chosen based on, but not limited to:

  • Originality: Is the concept presented new information or a new approach to an old issue?
  • Method: Is the research design valid? Are statistical techniques appropriate?
  • Presentation: Do the figures and graphs used affect the viewers' understanding of the information? Is the presentation easy to view? Is the author knowledgeable about the information in the presentation?
  • Significance: Does the conclusion have an impact on the infusion nursing specialty?

Attendees of the oral abstract presentations are eligible for continuing nursing education units as well as CRNI® recertification units. One presentation will be chosen as an overall winner and will receive a commemorative plaque and recognition at the Celebration of Excellence.

The application submission deadline was February 15, 2015.
Selected presenters will be notified by email beginning March 9, 2015.

Please note: Oral abstract presenters must be registered to attend the Annual Convention and Industrial Exhibition on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. All expenses related to the oral abstract presentation and meeting attendance (including but not limited to travel, transportation, lodging, and meals) are the responsibility of the presenter. Only one presenter is allowed for each oral abstract presentation.

Call for Oral Abstracts for INS 2016 will begin Fall of 2015
