ORAL ABSTRACT PRESENTATIONS  
 
  
Oral abstracts present research and/or clinical innovations related to the specialty of infusion therapy. Following a call for submissions from INS membership, oral abstracts are chosen for presentation through a blind review process.

Oral abstracts selected for presentation at the 2014 Annual Convention and Industrial Exhibition are:
  • Multiple Infusions: Using Human Factors to Create Evidence-Based Safety Improvements
  • Designing a Nurse-Driven Ultrasound Guided Peripheral IV Program for Medical-Surgical and Step-Down Units
  • The Development and Implementation of a Venous Extravasation Assessment System
  • Equipped for Excellence: A Theory-Based Orientation Plan for Vascular Access Clinicians
  • Vascular Access Specialists in Arizona: The Importance of Maintaining RNs on Vascular Access Teams
  • Vascular Access Care Coordinating Rounds for Maintaining and Preserving Vessel Health in the Pediatric Patient 


There will be 3 oral abstracts presented per hour. To receive 1 CE and/or 1 CRNI Recertification Unit, you must attend 3 consecutive oral abstract presentations. 

Oral abstracts will be judged by members of the National Council on Education (NCOE). One overall winner will be chosen. The winner will be announced at the Celebration of Excellence on Tuesday evening.
