Law in Scotland: The people's verdict, so what now?

The Scottish people have spoken. But what now? Our flagship conference this year will take place just two weeks after Scotland decided to stay part of the United Kingdom. It will analyse the detail of the referendum result, exploring why people voted the way they did and what issues decided the outcome.  It will also look at the implications of the result for our economy, our society and Scotland's place in the world, providing one of the first major post-referendum events to answer the simple question - so what now?

The 2014 conference programme takes place over a day and a half:

Friday sees the keynote sessions covering the outcome of the referendum with a choice of streamed sessions covering business topics, In-house lawyers topics and political topics. We are delighted to welcome a range of speakers from academia, business, politics, HR, market research and gambling.

Law in Scotland will for the first time hold a dinner on the Friday evening, bringing together delegates from private practice, In-house as well as speakers and business leaders for a sumptuous dinner at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. We are delighted that the In-house Lawyers Group will also use the occasion to announce the winner of their Rising Star Award.

Saturday morning sees further keynote sessions from Professor Stephen Mayson, strategist and independent legal thought leader. As well as the former Creative Director of Apple Ken Segall
