Routes to Tomorrow’s Health Care
Successful Models of Accountable Care

The accountable care concept is here to stay, as evidenced by CMS programs and models emerging in the commercial insurance sector. The challenge is how your organization can remain current, adapt to new incentives, and continue to move toward a more-efficient model of care that can radically improve patient outcomes and deliver value to your patient population.

Under the theme “Routes to Tomorrow’s Health Care: Successful Models of Accountable Care,” this year’s Institute for Quality Leadership Annual Conference will show that America’s future healthcare model is already in place at a number of AMGA groups.  Leaders from these innovative groups will present successful routes they have taken to transition from volume-based care to value-based, accountable care models and will provide you with tangible tools to aid your group in becoming a high-performing health system.

In addition, four AMGA Leadership Councils will be convening at the conference:

The AMGA Leadership Councils are networks of individuals in leadership positions within AMGA member medical groups who share ideas, strategies, and information with colleagues facing similar challenges.

Don’t miss these opportunities to learn from the organizations on the vanguard of delivering value-based care to the populations they serve and to craft your own route to tomorrow’s health care.

What is the Institute for Quality Leadership?

The Institute for Quality Leadership (IQL) is devoted to improving the quality of care delivered in the US healthcare system through the advancement of knowledge and the education of healthcare professionals. Its programs are designed to help healthcare organizations improve clinical quality, patient safety, service, and operational efficiency, and to share best practices in patient care. The IQL is supported by the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and its 501(c)(3) philanthropic affiliate, the American Medical Group Foundation (AMGF). For over 60 years, the AMGA has been the most effective voice in advocating for the multispecialty medical group model of coordinated care delivery. The members of AMGA are world leaders in quality improvement and have embraced the need to transform the healthcare system. Through innovation and leadership, these medical practices are rising to the challenge put forth by the Institute of Medicine to redesign patient care delivery systems to provide patients the care they need, want, and deserve. To support their efforts, the AMGF was formed as the philanthropic arm of AMGA to develop grant programs, quality awards, research, and education programs and to provide support for initiatives that exemplify the continuing quest for quality care. AMGF is the primary supporter of the Institute for Quality Leadership Annual Conference and AMGA’s quality improvement activities. To learn more about AMGF, visit www.amga.org/foundation.
