Description

"If you're not at the table, you're on the menu," is a common saying in the political world. ACMA is working to ensure that case management has a “seat at the table,” and that the practice has a voice as decisions are made in Washington that impact both patient and provider. This interactive session will provide an update on ACMA’s current and planned advocacy and public policy efforts pertaining to health care policy. Presenters will outline the recent work of ACMA’s Public Policy Committee. Insight into Congressional developments and the current health care landscape will be shared, and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, provide input and share recommendations regarding the information presented. Attendees are encouraged to share ideas and voice concerns on issues impacting their daily practice.

Learning Objectives:

1.       Discuss ACMA’s recent public policy efforts and priorities in case management advocacy

2.       Identify the top issues, regulations and challenges affecting hospital case managers

3.       Discuss Congressional developments affecting the health care landscape
