Today’s complex healthcare challenges require collaborative decision making, coordination of efforts, efficient use of resources, and joint accountability across departments. Initiatives must be developed from a shared vision, and an infrastructure for reporting and ongoing monitoring must be established. This presentation will describe the formation of one organization’s executive team, as well as implementation experiences related to several capacity management initiatives at a large, urban academic medical center.
