Event Description
This introductory course will inform participants of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on community health and social functioning. After reviewing the ACEs Questionnaire, participants will have the opportunity to consider their own ACE score and reflect on what this means within the context of working with individuals seeking behavioral health services. In response to the research that underscores low-health outcomes with high ACE scores, it is important to remember the value of protective factors and the way that resiliency can also influence health outcomes. Furthermore, the course will highlight the importance of incorporating individuals' cultural strengths to respond to the impact of trauma and living with the effects of ACEs today.

Registration: $59 per person. Student Registration: Enrolled students may receive a discount. Please email cabhp@asu.edu for questions.
