Matthew G. Hobbs is the Senior Chemist at EPT, where he manages the company’s research, development and laboratory services relating to lubricant testing and purification. Before joining EPT, Matthew obtained his PhD in synthetic chemistry from the University of Calgary and was the General Manager of a National oil analysis laboratory. Matt has more than 12 published papers, is a member of ASTM D02 committee on Turbine oiIs, and is paper selection chair of the power gen committee at STLE. Outside of work, when Matt’s young family lets him get away, he is an avid mountaineer and mountain photographer with several of his photos featured in common guide books.
