Event Description

Please join us on May 7th for a dynamic, interactive workshop where participants will learn how to communicate and present information in an engaging and impactful way. Attendees will work in teams to hone their presentation skills and receive real time feedback from trained group leaders. We will also have a FREE social hour following the training at Mona Lisa rooftop lounge. Attendance to the full day will be capped at 60 participants so be sure to register soon!

Topic: How to Give a Killer Presentation

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the interplay between “Structure”, “Content”, and “Delivery” in a presentation
  • Ways to make a boring presentation exciting
  • Strategies to reduce fear
  • Practice a process to sell ideas

Experience level: Basic

Prerequisites: None

Topic (Part 1): Presentation Fundamentals – Keys to Success

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify best practices of exceptional presenters
  • Develop a memory system to remember key points in a presentation
  • How to open and close a memorable presentation
  • Ways to control “butterflies"

Topic (Part 2): Presenting complex information – Simplifying your message

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the presentation structure to simplify complex information
  • Utilizing analogies to make information more interesting and easier to understand
  • Develop and practice delivering a short presentation following the simplification structure

Topic (Part 3): Communicate with Impact – Break the boredom barrier

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop increased flexibility through the use of expressions, gestures, and voice modulation
