Description
Despite the clear benefits of utilising concrete segmental pavements in both residential and industrial areas, there seems to be an undeserving bias towards other types of pavement materials. This problem has arisen due to a lack in skilled workers able to install concrete segmental pavements, as well as general lack in knowledge around correct specification and maintenance.
The CMAA's Approved Installer Program tackles this issue, with multiple courses dedicated to educating all stakeholders in the industry on the correct design, installation, maintenance and inspection of concrete segmental pavements. The program has been designed to instil confidence in the use of concrete segmental pavements in Australia.
This presentation will discuss the intent of the program, how it was developed, what each course encompasses and how the CMAA plans to roll it out.
