ICCA Congress 2018

Congress charity

We feel it is important to give something back to the community where our congress takes place. Every year, since 2013, participants to ICCA Congresses have offered moral support and brought smiles to the local communities. With the help of the Local Host Committees of hosting destinations who assist us identify local charities and NGOs, ICCA Members have worked with the following organisations:

2013 – Shanghai International Communication Center for The Disabled – wheelchairs for poor/old
2014 - Lősev Foundation for Children with Leukemia, Turkey – children’s books
2015 – Hacienda Camino (NGO for care of poor rural children) – shoes, puzzles and books in Spanish
2016 – Malaysian Association of Librarians, Sarawak Chapter– books in English (Book Share programme-books for rural villages and community halls)
2017 - SOS Children's Villages – traditional toys from different countries

Also, instead of handing out speaker gifts, a donation to charity is made.

More information on the 2018 CSR projects will be available soon.
