Future Skills & Productivity in Construction Conference

Overview

The employment market over the next five years will be shaped by four macroeconomic forces: the UK productivity gap in contrast to other G20 countries, the profile of the workforce, low skills levels within the sector, and impact of globalisation and the UK departure from the European Union in 2019.

This NOCN conference is for employers from across the construction industry to consider which skills are needed moving forward and how to ensure a productive workforce.

The aims of this NOCN conference are to:

  • Engage with employers and professional bodies from the sector to gather and understand what is needed to rise to the challenge;
  • Discuss the consultation process about construction qualifications, required skills and reformed apprenticeships;
  • Offer support in terms of skills training, recruitment and higher level skills; and
  • Promote diversity in the industry.

Cskills Awards is now part of NOCN group and this event provides an opportunity to showcase the wider range of products and services available, including vocational qualifications, Functional Skills, reformed apprenticeship standards and apprentice End Point Assessment activities.
