Message from the International First Aid Education Conference 2018 Co-Chairs |
|
We would like to welcome you to the first International First Aid Education Conference in wonderful Niagara Falls. In 2016 Red Cross shared how the science behind first aid has evolved to improve care. We believe the science is only the first step. Research indicates people are still being injured and bystanders are still not taking action. Only 25% of Canadians feel prepared to act in an emergency situation. We need to change this. The International First Aid Education Conference is an “un-conference”. We are expecting over 400 attendees to come prepared to share, network, and build new strategies to address how we educate and support Canadians and other global citizens on first aid to improve people’s confidence in first aid skills and their propensity to act. A growing roster of luminaries will facilitate dialogue and collaboration opportunities with attendees. This exciting event is not to be missed and we welcome your involvement. See you there! |
