Introduction to data protection and the GDPR

This one day course gives an introduction to the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), due to be enforced from the 25th May 2018. Time is rapidly running out for organisations to prepare for this major change in data protection law with its massive potential penalties. While many details remain to be clarified there is a great deal which is clear, enabling preparations to be made. The Information Commissioner has emphasised that the Regulation will be enforced and that reasonable preparations must be made.
