About the Event: VIC - Philanthropy Roundtable Breakfast

Are you in? Major Gift Fundraising, Bequest Fundraising, Trusts and Foundations, Philanthropy or Development?

Are you wondering how to undertake or improve: Strategic Planning, Governance and Leadership, Stewardship and Recognition?

If you or your colleagues are involved in fundraising or managing any of the above areas then this FIA Victoria Roundtable breakfast is for YOU!

Attracting the philanthropic dollar is becoming increasingly competitive and difficult. Gaining support from your leadership is becoming tougher as their demands for you to bring in the big gifts. Identifying opportunities, putting a case for support that attracts interest, reporting back, all in ways that cut through the noise, quickly, effectively & efficiently, is imperative in gaining the major gift.

So what does it take today? This is a great opportunity to discuss and collaborate with colleagues on ideas, innovation and strategies that help to gain the philanthropic gift in a roundtable setup.

Six topics, six chairs, six opportunities to chat and gain insight into solving problems or roadblocks, or simply helping with identifying prospects.

How does it work? Choose a topic of interest to you. Join that table. Listen in, participate, ask, inform. Every 20 minutes a bell will ring. You can either remain at the table, or jump onto another table with a topic of interest.

This Philanthropy Roundtable Breakfast will be over one hour of power.

So come along, get involved, ask questions, participate in conversations while enjoying a continental breakfast as you learn about:

  1. Thanking your Major Donors: the importance of saying thank you and inviting others to share different ways to thank donors - Gavan Woinarski, Philanthropist Consultant
  2. Getting Legacy Gifts today: How to encourage your donors to leave a final gift in their Will and the laws of today
  3. Standing out from the crowd: Attracting Major Donors & Major Gifts in a competitive philanthropic world
  4. Success in Grant Applications: With a low success rate, how can you cut through and get your submissions noticed
  5. Are you strategic?: The value of long-term planning in fundraising and what you need to do
  6. Managing Leadership: Finding it difficult to get your Board or CEO to listen to you? Learn their language, get results.
Fundraising is exciting but it’s a lot of hard work … that is why FIA Victoria is here to help with the Philanthropy Roundtable.

So come along, jump on a table, get involved in the conversations, and walk away with ideas and insight to better your fundraising.
