Engineering, Taking NSW Forward
This year's Conference is shaping up to be bigger than ever, and for the first time, we are hosting a Young IPWEA/First Timers' Networking Function. IPWEA (NSW) would like to invite you to join us at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley from Wednesday, November 8, to Friday, November 10, 2017.
You won’t want to miss this!
The event will bring together technical partners and stakeholders who are engaged in infrastructure, asset management, road and rail safety, transport, water and waste water, risk management, environmental sustainability, technical innovation and technology. The conference encourages representatives from across the profession and the Local Government sector to join together, exchange ideas and engage in discussions on how “Engineering can continue taking NSW Forward”.
The Conference offers a broad range of topics and sessions with speakers representing: The Impossible Institute, NSW Police Force, Consolidated Land and Rail Australia, Transport for NSW, Australian Driverless Vehicle Initiative, Traffic Engineering Centre and Tamworth Regional Economic Development amongst others.
A panel session on Managing Infrastructure and Community Safety will be facilitated by ABC presenter Fran Kelly. Panelists include: NSW Highway Patrol, Office of Local Government, the Shadow Minister for Local Government, Statewide Mutual, Australian Road Research Board, McCullough Robertson, Transport for NSW and NSW Councils.
Drawing delegates from all over New South Wales, metropolitan rural and regional areas are always well represented. The conference is of particular relevance to people who provides support and projects within infrastructure and public works, and usually attracts an audience of Engineers, Public Works Managers, Group Managers, Supervisors, Technical Staff, Councillors, Directors, General Managers, other Public Works’ disciplines including Management Utilities and State Government Departments.
Besides from the above, the Conference offers an extensive program including;
