About the Event: How social media, crowd funding and social enterprise funding are changing the Australian fundraising landscape

Our speaker Dan is the co-owner and Creative Strategy Director at Marlin Communications, Australia’s largest creative agency for charities. Marlin's clients include World Vision New Zealand, Amnesty International, Heart Foundation and WWF.

In this session Dan will illustrate how social  media communication strategies, crowd-funding, and social enterprise funding, have each contributed to innovation and disruption in the Australian fundraising landscape.

Using a range of examples from Australia and overseas, Dan will provide his reflections on how disruptive techniques have been adopted by charities. This session will invite the audience to consider whether they feel like creative activities that are out of grasp of fundraising teams or whether they do offer tangible opportunities.

Dan is an advocate of blending creativity and ambition to set out to accomplish something different, and hopes to inspire you to see that it is possible to walk the talk and be a disruptive fundraiser.
