CPD for in-house lawyers – Employment update

Preparing for gender pay gap reporting and recent employment cases

From April 2017, gender pay gap reporting will become mandatory for all private and voluntary sector organisations with 250 or more employees.  Public sector bodies are already required to report on gender pay as part of their equality duties.

During this one hour seminar, Amanda Jones, Head of Employment, Pensions & Immigration at Maclay Murray & Spens and accredited specialist in employment law and discrimination law, will focus on:

  1. The challenges of understanding your organisation’s gender pay gap and how you report it;
  2. Comparisons with existing public sector rules on gender pay gap reporting; and
  3. Recent employment discrimination cases and legislative developments.

Why should I attend?

By attending, you'll develop an understanding of:

  • what gender pay gap reporting means for your organisation and how you can communicate your results to your workforce
  • what might be skewing your gender pay gap figures
  • existing public sector reporting requirements and whether these are driving any changes in practice
  • the most important employment discrimination cases and legislative developments from recent months and what these mean for your organisation
