Prior to serving as general manager of Murphy Electric Power Board for the last 10 years, Larry Kernea was director of member services, marketing and economic development at Blue Ridge Mountain EMC in Young Harris, GA. He is a graduate of North Georgia Technical College where he studied business administration. He currently serves on the boards of Tri-County Community College, Murphy Medical Center, Southeast District Power Distributor Managers Association and several others.
