Bio

Kim Butler Perry, DDS, MSCS, is an associate professor and the associate vice president of University Strategic Partnerships for A.T. Still University. Previously (2014-2016), she served as the inaugural associate dean, of clinical operations, director of dental services for A.T. Still University-Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health’s (ATSU-MOSDOH) St. Louis Dental Education and Oral Health Clinic and dental director and vice president for Affinia Healthcare, the community partner. Dr. Perry has served as associate dean of clinical affairs and associate professor for the Department of Restorative Sciences at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. During her tenure at Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M Health Science Center, she was an associate professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences and course director. She completed her Master of Science in Clinical Science with distinction from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Her research includes health disparities, health promotion, disease prevention, and untreated dental caries within vulnerable populations. She completed a one-year general practice residency at Meharry Hubbard Hospital and later served in the Army Dental Corp, receiving numerous awards and recognitions throughout her career including several Army commendation and achievement medals. She has opened and operated three health center clinics in underrepresented communities. Dr. Perry received her DDS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, Chapel Hill, N.C and is the current Immediate - 93rd Past President of the National Dental Association (NDA).
