The goal of this case study is to demonstrate the use of limited orthodontic extrusion as a restorative option for teeth that are severely fractured. Forced eruption can be an excellent alternative to traditional surgical crown lengthening and surgical extrusion or extraction and implant placement. We often overlook limited orthodontics as a treatment option for minimally invasive restorative treatment. This case study course provides ideas for incorporating limited orthodontics as part of a restorative treatment plan. This includes case selection, case studies and before-and-after results involving minimally invasive treatment utilizing minimally invasive biomaterial selection. This technique can provide a complete esthetic rehabilitation of a grossly destructed tooth without hampering the biological width and, thus, has a better prognosis.

Objectives:
Understand the goals of limited/adjunctive orthodontics.
Explore diagnosis and treatment planning with this technique.
Review case selection, case studies and results of this minimally invasive treatment.
