After a brief review of the pulpotomy technique, there will be a discussion on the use of Biodentine, a tricalcium silicate, for pulpotomies in primary teeth. The presentation will describe the signs and symptoms that will indicate reversible vs irreversible pulpitis. The indications and contraindications of SDF (Silver Diamine Fluoride) and how it can be used to stop caries immediately with no local anesthesia, no drilling, and no need to restore will be examined. The presentation will include the many indications for Glass Ionomer Cement for Indirect Pulp Caps, ART, ITR, and for sealants. This Evidence Based Dentistry information will allow the participant to perform current pulpal treatment modalities that create best practices with best outcomes
