Despite our best efforts, some root canal therapies fail due to recurrent bacteria or tooth fracture. This course will discuss the rationale for conservative root canal treatment using modern technologies. Review which medicaments work and which do not, how to get irrigation into the apical 1/3 for maximum disinfection and how to fill the root canal system for maximum success. This course will also discuss the five-minute bonded post and core procedure and show how to tackle post and cores that are more difficult. Attendees will perform these techniques in an extensive, hands-on segment.

Objectives:
Learn how an understanding of anatomy can make endodontic treatments easier.
Learn a step-by-step approach to cleaning and instrumenting the canals.
Understand the differences between sealants. Master the five-minute post and core procedure.
Learn how to handle post and cores in an esthetic situation.
