This course is a continuation of the prerequisite course: TLJM1: "An Introduction to Straight Wire Orthodontics for General Dentists." offered on Thursday, June 7th at 9:00 AM. Participants must take that lecture in preparation for this course.

This is a straight forward introduction to the proper methods of obtaining records, diagnosing, planning and implementing orthodontic treatment. A simple protocol for the proper placement of bands and brackets will be discussed as well as post-orthodontic retention.

Objectives:
Understand orthodontic record-taking, diagnosis, treatment planning, and retention.
Experience hands-on training from bracket placement to archwire manipulation.
Be able to identify when to treat and when to refer to a specialist.
Post orthodontic retention
