TPJJ2: Preparing for the Unexpected
This course will focus on emergency management or what to do when treatment doesn't go as planned. Actual case studies from an expert panel and the audience will be shared. The course will also include a hands-on training session focused on the skills needed in handling an emergency situation, such as veni puncture, IM/IO medication delivery and advanced airway techniques, in addition to the equipment and supplies appropriate for various levels of pain and anxiety management.

Objective:
Learn what emergency supplies are appropriate to have based on the level of sedation offered in the office.
Be able to recognize and treat common pain and anxiety emergencies.
Learn how to start an IV as well as proper IM/IO technique for effective medication delivery.
Learn proper airway skills.
