TLJG1C: The Myths and Truths of Oral/Systemic Conditions
This lecture will explore systemic diseases and oral health and the link between periodontal disease from its etiology and pathogenesis to the role of the host response and impact on systemic health. Risk assessment also will be covered in the context of the oral/systemic connection, and the participant will learn about various systemic disorders and conditions that interact with periodontal diseases in addition to how to discuss this in everyday practice.
