Geography

The Czech Republic lies in Central Europe and borders with Poland in the northeast, Germany in the west and northwest, with Austria in the south and Slovakia in the east. The city has a rich history with an architectural heritage which reflects both the uncertain currents of the past and an urban life extending back more than 1,000 years.
