In 1987, Anita Borg attended the Symposium on Operating Systems Principles in 1987 quickly realizing she was the only women in a session. Meeting other women later and having lunch together, Anita recognized the importance of having a community of women where they can connect, support and advise each other in their careers and challenges. Systers was born to ensure women had a safe and private environment and they would never feel alone. Join this session and hear from Systers across computing disciplines, different career levels and geographical location about the importance of Systers in their lives and careers.
