Karen is a Marketing Consultant following years working for Cancer Council Australia as Director, Marketing and Fundraising. She is Campaign Director for Australia’s bequest campaign – Include a Charity. She developed her skills across the FMCG and not-for-profit sectors and draws on this blend of commercial and NFP knowledge. Karen is a highly strategic and analytical individual with strong stakeholder engagement skills across all tiers of management and external stakeholders. She is a CFRE and completed an MA and B.Comm.
 
Jakki Travers
Gifts in Wills Manager
The Smith Family

Jakki is Gifts in Wills (“GIW”) Manager at The Smith Family where she is responsible for the strategic and operational activities that drive and deliver bequest income.

Jakki has designed a multi-channel marketing program to acquire new GIW supporters to The Smith Family and a stewardship program to maintain donor loyalty which has seen an increase in support from the GIW funnel of 25% over the first six months of the program.

Jakki is a passionate advocate for Gifts in Wills, and volunteers as a member of the Steering Committee of the Include a Charity campaign – over 100 Australian charities working together to increase income from Gifts in Wills. Jakki has previous GIW fundraising experience with Cancer Council NSW, The Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation and Caritas.
