NSCAA Special Topics Diploma: Speed of Play

Description: This course will redefine speed of play and show why efficiency should be our aim in developing effective players. While technical proficiency is fundamental to the development of speed of play, too often, players are made to play fast with no consideration to the tactical moment. This will show how technique and tactics are intertwined and how we must teach players to understand an read game concepts while developing technical proficiency. The course will also work to reframe the idea of reading the game to one developing agreements between players and ultimately to developing agreements about how we will play together as a team efficiently.

NSCAA Special Topics Diploma: Advanced Youth Coaching

Description: Education courses encouraging positive development of coaches working with elite youth players are extremely relevant in today's youth soccer environment. With escalating costs of players acquisition (buying success) and development and the gap between 'haves' and 'have nots' increasing, the requirement to internally develop 'cost effective' talent is imperative. Developing coaches effective in nurturing talent and understanding their role in the process is pivotal. This special topics diploma will explore key coaching education topics focusing on elite youth player development.

Requirements: Attend a minimum of six (6) of the identified sessions and complete the validation process to obtain this diploma.
