Mrs. Jacksta is the Executive Director of the Cargo Systems Program Office. In this capacity, she is responsible for the management, acquisition, development and deployment of systems that support CBP’s trade mission. Mrs. Jacksta supports a broad and diverse stakeholder community including over 47 government agencies, and over 600,000 members of the trade community. She also provides leadership and direction for CBP legacy systems—the Automated Commercial System and the Automated Export System—while developing and deploying the modernized trade processing system, the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) which is a $3B program. The ACE system forms the backbone of CBP’s 21st Century trade processing capability.

Previously, Mrs. Jacksta served in a number of critical leadership positions including the Acting Deputy Executive Program Director of SBInet where she provided leadership and direction in the management, development and deployment of SBInet technologies. She also served as the Acting Executive Director of the Enterprise Networks and Technology Support Division and as the Deputy Executive Director of the Program Integration Division. In both capacities, Mrs. Jacksta led and directed organizations responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and management of critical networks such as DHS OneNet, and CBP mission critical systems.

Mrs. Jacksta is a DHS Level III certified Acquisition Professional. She received the prestigious Women in Technology Government Leadership Award in 2004, and Government Executive Magazine’s Government Technology Leadership Award for innovative technology practices 2000. Mrs. Jacksta is a graduate of the Harvard University Senior Executive Fellows Program and the DHS SES Candidate Development Program.

Mrs. Jacksta started her Federal career with Customs as an Import Specialist at JFK Airport in 1985. She served in a number of operational and managerial roles at Customs Headquarters. During this time she led and directed national teams to address Customs trade policy and compliance issues.

Mrs. Jacksta is a member of a number of organizations, including Executive Women in Government, the Worldwide Executive Council and the Harvard Alumni Association.
