Bio
Marius has been with SARS for 8 years. In the capacity of Group Executive in the Modernisation and Technology Division he is responsible for the disciplines of Enterprise Architecture, Programme Management, Systems Integration and Specialist Technologies.

Over the past 20 years, he worked across several industries - Tax Administration, Customs and Immigration, Manufacturing, Criminal Justice as well as Information- and Communications Technology (ICT).

Marius has a passion for building and managing high-performing teams to deliver value to organizations through innovation - his career culminated in successfully completing multiple projects and programmes, as well as formulating and implementing turn-around strategies for businesses.

He had extensive exposure to the sourcing and management of ICT goods and services, with a cumulative value of more than $1billion.

Marius holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce from the University of Pretoria and a MBA from the Leicester Business School. He is married to Marlene and has a teenage daughter, Zelné. In his spare time he enjoys the performing arts and cycling.
