2016 Kentucky Farm Bureau Roadside Farm Market Tour

KENTUCKY FARM BUREAU
ROADSIDE FARM MARKET TOUR

JUNE 27-30, 2016

Kentucky Farm Bureau is pleased to announce the Roadside Farm Market Tour, which is planned for June 27-30, 2016, to Indiana and Michigan!  This is a great opportunity for 46 Kentucky Farm Bureau members to tour successful roadside markets, agribusinesses, and more.

The tour is a unique opportunity to visit operations with successful farm marketing programs and to learn different types of promotion strategies that may be useful on your farm.  There will be ample time to ask questions of our hosts.  You will agree that the Kentucky Farm Bureau Roadside Farm Market Tour will be an enjoyable trip that could benefit your operation.

The tour will leave from the Kentucky Farm Bureau State Office in Louisville and travel by motor coach.  The tentative itinerary takes the group from Louisville north through Indiana and southern Michigan with numerous tour stops at roadside markets, agribusinesses, and other points of interest.  We will stay in South Bend, Indiana on Monday; Holland, Michigan on Tuesday; and Valparaiso, Indiana on Wednesday. The tentative itinerary can be found under the "Agenda" tab.  Updates to this agenda will be posted on the website.

Thanks to our sponsors, the tour cost is $475 per person (double-occupancy) or $700 per person (single-occupancy).  These tour costs are non-refundable.  Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Roadside Farm Market participants will receive up to two discounted registrations for the tour (a $100.00 value).  Any additional participants will be assessed at the regular rate.  The non-refundable registration fee includes bus transportation, hotel rooms (room and tax only), group meals, and snacks.  One dinner and one breakfast will be on the participant’s expense while we are in Holland, Michigan.  Participants will be responsible for any additional expenses caused by travel delays including weather-related problems.  If the 2016 Kentucky Farm Bureau Roadside Farm Market Tour is officially cancelled, a refund is possible minus any penalties or non-refundable expenses that apply.

The KFB Roadside Farm Market Tour registration will only be conducted online.  Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis beginning on Thursday, May 12, at 10:00 a.m. EDT and ending on Thursday, May 19.  The tour registrations are limited to the first 46 participants.

If you have questions about the tour, please contact Mrs. Fran McCall, Commodity Specialist and coordinator for the Roadside Farm Market Program, at 502-495-5000, ext. 7238 or Fran.McCall@kyfb.com
