Steven manages a team of data scientists and the Greenplum Analytics Lab, tasked with partnering with EMC customers to solve their most pressing business problems through predictive analytics. Hillion also manages an analytics group focused on developing best practices and technologies in analytics for EMC customers and drives Greenplum's "MAD Skills" initiative-sophisticated data analysis using Magnetic, Agile and Deep design philosophies. He earned a doctorate in mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley, and was a King Charles I scholar at Oxford University.
