Fernando Gonzalez is CIO of Byer California, a privately held, $400 million-plus garment manufacturer with 1,500 employees. A CIO for the past 20 years, Fernando has worked in industries from health care to aerospace to medical device manufacturing, for a variety of companies including EDS, Rand, International Rectifier Corp., Hexcel Corp. and Informix. In more than 40 years in IT, he has worked as a programmer, systems programmer, database analyst and business analyst, and held many IT management roles. He was educated at San Diego State University.
