Thank you to those who attended and participated in the 2016 National Conference in Orlando, Florida. This year's event had over 800 attendees, representing more than 200 agencies and 70 exhibitors, sponsors, and national partners. From featured speakers to workshop presenters to the attendees, it was clear we embraced the "Moving Forward, Together" theme.

The conference began with a moving tribute to those who lost their lives in the June 12 shooting in Orlando. Following the special tribute and a moment of silence, the general session kicked off with a Tampa Bay Little singing the National Anthem, followed by a few special guest speakers, including Karlton Harris, founder of Re-entry Consultants of America; David Shapiro, CEO of MENTOR; and Mike O'Brien, CEO of iMentor. Over the next two days, the highlights of the general sessions featured speaker Mark Tillman, General President of Alpha Phi Alpha; and keynote speaker Wes Moore, CEO of BridgeEdU.

Throughout the conference and at the National Awards Gala, many agencies, corporate and foundation partners, and individuals were honored for their contributions to the BBBSA missions, including our Bigs of the Year. We also unveiled our new celebrity ambassadors, who are part of the BIG Champions Program. The Gala ended with the announcement of the 2017 Conference location: we will be in San Diego from June 25-28. We will share registration and room reservation details by early fall.
