Qld - From Red to Black: How Regular Giving played a critical part in transforming an organisation's future

Make-A-Wish reached a point of dire financial crisis in 2010; they were heavily reliant on income streams that had started to perform under target. They had very little in reserves and a nascent regular giving program.

This professional development (PD) session will give you a real sense of how a firm approach to restructuring fundraising with a laser focus on regular giving can turn around the income future for a much loved organisation and how therefore many more sick kids have had their wishes granted.

Alexandra Struthers MFIA FIA Young Fundraiser of the Year will take us through Make-A-Wish’s dogged determination to get regular giving (RG) over the line, what they have tried and what worked – and, crucially, what didn’t work!

This PD will touch on key considerations and what you need to get if you don’t have an RG program yet:

  • Regular Giving as an increasingly important revenue stream in most non-profits;
  • Improvement of your knowledge and awareness about all facets of RG;
  • Learn from the successes and failures of the Make-A-Wish experience; and
  • Hear from Australia’s latest Young Fundraiser of the Year

This professional education session is suitable for all leaders of organisations who fundraise and fundraising professionals.

Be there at 7.00am to share fundraising experiences with your peers over tea/coffee before breakfast.

Free parking available at the venue.
