With over 14 years’ experience in the Industrial Gas Turbine arena, Ian works as a Product Line Manager at PSM, LLC., An Alstom Company. Here he oversees the market & customer alignment, technical requirement and product development strategy for various gas turbine fleets globally.
Starting his career with Alstom Power in Switzerland, at their corporate research center, he has 5 years’ experience in advanced laser welding technology for gas turbine repair. Following relocation to Jupiter, Florida he has a further 5 years in repair engineering leadership and shop operations management at PSM.
Ian has authored and presented several ASME Turbo Expo technical papers on various IGT repair techniques for both Alstom hardware and other OEM Hot Gas Path components. He studied Materials Engineering at Brunel University, West London (UK), specialising in welding and joining techniques. He also has an MBA in International Business from Florida Atlantic University.
