Nor Haziah Abd Wahab assumed the position as head of International Affairs in October 2011. Prior to that she was in the Trade Facilitation Division for 5 years with responsibilities on Industrial Policy and on trade facilitation measures. This includes WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement Negotiations as well as FTA negotiations/implementation. She was one of the negotiating team for WTO TF Agreement from 2008 onwards and, as Head of International, is still involved in implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement.

Nor Haziah was in the Integrity and Disciplinary Division for almost 10 years (1997 – 2007) with the responsibility for the department’s disciplinary action and integrity measures and was also a member of the Regional Integrity Working Group for Asia Pacific.  Prior to that, Nor Haziah has also served in the Auditing Division responsible for auditing manufacturers and importers with regards to Customs compliance for 2 years.

Her current designation as Head of International Affairs for Malaysian Customs carries the responsibility of coordinating and supporting all international customs issues and measures, focusing on international cooperation and strengthening multi and bi-lateral relationships to achieve international agreements (such as WTO ATF, FTA’s and RKC)  and joint efforts to both facilitate and secure legitimate trade.
