Bio

Dikko Inde Abdullahi was born on May 11, 1960 into the family of Abdullahi Usman Inde Dikko. He attended the University of  Dimitrov Apostle Tshenov, Suishtov Bulgaria where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and further proceeded to acquire a Masters Degree in Finance with special Emphasis on Investment Finance from the same University.

Outstanding achievements of Dikko Inde Abdulahi at both Local and International levels include:

  • Elected Chairman of the West and Central  African Region Customs Administrators of the WCO.

  • The Ascension of Nigeria Customs Service to Revised Kyoto Convention (RKC) in June 2012.

  • National Honour of the Commander of the Order of Federal Republic (CFR) 2011.

  • National Honour Award of the Officer of the Federal Republic, OFR in 2010.

  • National Honour Award of the Member of the Federal Republic, MFR, in 2008.

  • International Relief Organisation, Jedda Kingdom of Saudi Arabias’ Award for Philanthropic Services.

Within the Nigeria Customs Service, he has recorded several achievements in the areas of Customs Reform and Modernisation, including Automation of Clearance Procedures to facilitate trade and to secure the nation’s borders; effective revenue collection; capacity building and staff welfare improvement.

He has also established a Forensic Unit in the Nigeria Customs Service with the collaboration of stakeholder partners. This is aimed at positioning NCS towards checkmating economic crimes thereby safeguarding government revenue.

After many years of Pre Shipment Inspection outsourced to Service Providers, the year 2014 represents a significant milestone for Dikko Abdullahi and the Nigeria Customs Service. Using a new application system known as the Pre Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) developed by NCS, the Service successfully took over the operations of Destination Inspection in Nigeria from December 2013.

Other recent achievements include the design and implementation of the multi-award winning Nigeria Trade Hub; the initiation of the Trusted Trade Regime and the creation of a world class Cyber Forensics Unit for Nigeria Customs Service.

He is married and blessed with four children. Despite his very busy schedule, he still finds time to engage in extracurricular activities like jogging in order to keep fit both mentally and physically.
