Valentina Mintah is an internationally recognized expert in trade facilitation, customs modernization and private sector development, with a strong focus on processes and automation. She has delivered quality outcomes in challenging circumstances in Europe, Central Asia and Africa. She has experience of running successful programmes in both the public and private sectors, having worked with organizations including IBM in the EMEA Financial Services Sector, Crown Agents and West Blue Consulting.
Notable projects have included the design and implementation of a shared EMEA portal for the optimization of business processes in IBM; design and implementation of the recent Pre Arrival Regime for Nigeria Customs Service, design and implementation of a customs, tax and integrated revenue automated system and the concept definition, analysis, design and delivery of Trade Information Portal and Single Window environments in several countries around the world.
Valentina Mintah has considerable experience of working with donors and partners including UN, EU, World Bank, IMF, USAID, GIZ, WCO and COMSEC. She is an active member of a number of international working groups including UN/CEFACT and the African Alliance on e-Commerce. She has delivered several training workshops and presentations around the world and is very passionate about Africa, Capacity Building and its role in the development agenda.
She has a solid network in the industry and is an accomplished people manager, with the ability to rapidly build credible relationships at all levels in diverse environments, inspiring confidence.
