Kate Grimwade

Kate trained in the UK, in Liverpool and Birmingham, working in areas with large African and South Asian immigrant populations with high rates of HIV infection and TB. She worked for 4 years in rural South Africa, running a TB programme and conducting a clinical trial of cotrimoxazole prophylaxis in TB patients with HIV infection. She moved to New Zealand in 2007 and works in ID, HIV and General Medicine in the Bay of Plenty.
